This month we are proud to be the cover story for Nursery Management! The article highlights our nursery and covers why we decided to get SANC (A Systems Approach to Nursery Certification) certified. We are committed to healthy plants, and that is the main reason we decided to amp up our procedures and pursue this new certification. If you subscribe to the magazine, you should have received your issue in the mail around the middle of May. If you don’t, you can read the entire article online. Check it out here: Nursery Management Challenge Accepted.
A Little About SANC
SANC was created by the National Plant Board, which is a non-profit organization made up of the pest regulatory agencies in all of the states in the US. We here at Loma Vista Nursery were lucky enough to be a part of the pilot program for SANC. The article goes much more into detail about all of this, but ultimately SANC goes beyond the federal regulations to ensure even more that all of the practices and procedures at participating nurseries follow strict guidelines to manage and prevent any plant diseases and pests.
