Loma Vista Nursery grows over 200 drought tolerant varieties, and we stage crops so you have bud & bloom options year round. We also research what selections will have the longest bloom cycles and while proving to require the lowest maintenance. We grow from unrooted cuttings as much as possible to acclimate the

liners to the midwest and help control the overall cost. We use the most reputable breeders to produce the new varieties that consumers desire as well as the reliable staples that can be seen at high end garden centers as well as in landscape plantings.

Hosta - Plantain Lily

With a dedicated shade structure, Hostas are a-plenty at Loma Vista Nursery. Grown for their leaves rather than their flowers, Hostas love the shade, grow quick and are low maintenance. We have more than 25 varieties of Hostas in production in any given year, so mix it up, as each Hosta shows off its own unique leaf size and color.

Heuchera - Coral Bells

A Heuchera prefers semi to full shade and is proven to be cold tolerant and deer resistant. With colors like purple, silver, bronze and chartreuse the Coral Bells will brighten up any garden. Caramel and Palace Purple lead the way, but Loma Vista Nursery grows close to a number of varieties in the Carnival line with unique, vibrant colors.

Echinacea - Coneflower

Echinaceas have long been pollinators and known for their medicinal properties, but the purple coneflower now has plenty of company. In addition to the always popular ‘purpurea Magnus’, you now have many colors to choose from. Highlighted by the Sombrero® Series and Pow Wow® line, Loma Vista Nursery has more than a dozen Echinacea varieties in production all the time.
